We just digitally hacked our recent experiments in print making (part of our Traces COVID-19 project). First physical prints were scanned to create digital versions.
Next these .jpeg format images were then converted into .txt files.
Finally different aspects of the text (numbers, parameters) were hacked within the GIMP creating these patterns. We are now working with these to convert them again into new formats. We are using prints as an example format to see how we can move image to data to image and back again. Next will be experiments with raw COVID-19 data.
