Yesterday Maggie had a peer tutorial with Hamish Oakley-Browne leading Northland printmaker and Manager of Te Kowhai Print Trust in Whangarei.
The session explored themes from the COVID-19 pandemic using environmentally friendly Akua Inks and Monoprinting techniques. The most facing part was playing with the inks and watching emergent and unexpected patterns arise through the process.
Further digital processing will take place this week to see how analogue can move to digital and perhaps back again.
